What's a mini trip? Our mini-trips are trips with a smaller group number and the use of a van for the trip's transportation. For this month's mini-trip, we'll visit the Carolina Pie Company in Mooresville. We'll learn the story behind this local business, tour the kitchen, and each participant will make their own mini pie. After our visit, we'll eat lunch at Johnny's Farmhouse Restaurant. Meal not included. Minimal walking is required.

Flat Rock Playhouse: Steel Magnolias

May 24th, 2023 | 8:00am-6:30pm

$60 Per Person, Register/Cancel by May 17th, 2023.

Explore downtown Hendersonville and grab lunch before we head over to the Flat Rock main stage. The play, Steel Magnolias, explores the relationships between a tight-knit group of Louisiana southern ladies who gather in Truvy’s small-town beauty parlor, celebrating the milestones in each other’s lives. Filled with hilarious repartee and humorously acerbic verbal lacerations, the play deepens when the spunky Shelby (who is diabetic) contradicts her doctor’s advice and risks pregnancy. Steel Magnolias exemplifies the universal and unconditional strengths of sisterhood, resilience, and love. Meal not included. Moderate walking.
