What We Do
The Facility Services Division plays many important roles within the Iredell County Government responsibility. There are currently 63 county-owned properties maintained by this Division. These properties include all county facilities and departments available to the public, including but not limited to:
  • Health Department
  • Department of Social Services
  • Hall of Justice and Court facilities
  • Detention Center
  • Sheriff’s Office facilities
  • Government Center Complex
  • Board of Elections
  • All EMS bases
  • Emergency Communications
  • Agricultural Center
  • Iredell County Fairgrounds
  • Department of Building Standards
  • County Libraries
  • ICATS
  • Iredell County Solid Waste Department
  • Iredell County Animal Services
  • All Iredell County Parks and Recreation facilities
  • Tax Administration Facility
Road Signs
Responsibilities
Our responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Landscaping and grounds upkeep
  • Janitorial services and supplies inventory
  • Surplus property
  • Election set-ups
  • General maintenance
Also, skilled trades such as electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, generators, and road sign maintenance are maintained by the Facility Services Division. Road Sign maintenance includes any road sign (green road name signs only) inside the Iredell County borders. Any directional signage or other roadway concerns should be reported to the North Carolina Department of Transportation. Road name signs inside city limits should be reported to the City of Statesville or Town of Mooresville.

Our Mission
The Iredell County Facility Services Division is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all county-owned and leased properties, as well as the maintenance of county road name signs. By providing safe, secure, clean, and visibly appealing buildings and grounds, we are proud to serve the needs of Iredell County employees and citizens.
