1. Do you offer vaccines to both children and adults.

Yes, we offer all required and most recommended vaccines for both children and adults.

2. Do I need to schedule an appointment to receive an immunization/vaccine?

It is best to have an appointment, however, walk-ins are welcome are time/personnel permits.

3. Can my insurance be billed?

Yes, Iredell County Health Department can bill Medicaid, NC Health Choice, Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Cigna for most vaccines and Medicare for flu and pneumonia vaccines.

4. I am traveling out of the country, what vaccines do you offer?

Most travel vaccines such as Typhoid, Hepatitis A and B, Polio and MMR are offered at the health department. Yellow fever and Malaria is not available.

5. When is the flu vaccine available?

The flu vaccine is generally available September-March.

6. My child needs a shot record for school, where do I get this?

If you have received vaccines from us in the past or prior vaccines have been entered into the North Carolina immunizations registry by another provider, we can provide this form for you at the front desk or in immunization clinic.
