If I am registered as unaffiliated, can I vote in a primary election?
Yes, when you arrive at your polling place you must choose which party’s ballot you wish to vote. You cannot vote both!! If you choose to vote the Republican ballot, you will be voting on the Republican races and the non-partisan races. If you choose to vote the Democrat ballot, you will be voting on the Democrat races and the non-partisan races. If you choose to vote the unaffiliated ballot, you will only be voting on the non-partisan races. These limitations only apply during a primary election. They do not apply during a November general election. In the November general elections, you may vote for anyone on the ballot, regardless of their party.
